Circular 61 of 2021: Sizwe Medical Fund and Hosmed Medical Scheme merge

The Council for Medical Schemes (CMS) hereby confirms the merger of Sizwe Medical Fund and Hosmed Medical Scheme effective from 1 November 2021.

The Registrar of Medical Schemes confirmed the exposition in terms of Section 63(6)(a) of the Medical Schemes Act (131 of 1998) for the transaction to be concluded.

Furthermore, the Registrar approved the name change of the amalgamated scheme to Sizwe Hosmed Medical Scheme.
