Gala Dinner
The CMS Industry Indaba Gala Dinner is a distinguished highlight of the two-day programme — an evening that brings together leaders across regulation, policy, academia and industry for reflection, recognition and purposeful engagement.
The Gala Dinner will feature a keynote address on Regulation, Fairness and Sustainability in South Africa’s Health System, offering principled insight into the intersection of law, competition, accountability and equitable access to healthcare funding. The keynote speaker, whose contribution to shaping debate on South Africa’s health market is widely recognised, will be announced in due course.
The evening will also feature the presentation of an Award for Research, established in honour of the late Prof Lungile Pepeta, former CMS Chairperson, whose leadership was marked by integrity, intellectual rigour and an unwavering commitment to beneficiary protection. The Award recognises outstanding research that advances evidence-based regulation, health system strengthening and innovation within the medical schemes environment.
By celebrating scholarly excellence and hosting constitutional thought leadership at the highest level, the Gala Dinner embodies the spirit of the CMS Industry Indaba — principled, forward-looking, and committed to strengthening South Africa’s healthcare funding landscape.
Attendance is reserved for registered delegates and invited guests.
