Circular 4 of 2024: IFRS17 – Statement of Financial Position

The purpose of this Circular is to engage stakeholders on the format of the IFRS 17 Statement of Financial Position.

This Circular is a continuation of Circular 41 of 2023 International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS)17 Insurance contracts – Statement of Financial Position, wherein schemes were requested to provide comments on the format of the Statement of financial position given the requirements of IFRS 17. Due to the low level of engagement in relation to Circular 41 of 2023, CMS is extending the window of opportunity to the industry to provide comments.

Kindly provide comments regarding the presentation of the Statement of Financial Position by completing this feedback form by 23 February 2024.
