Circular 17 of 2025: Publication of the Monthly Indicator Dashboard

The purpose of this Circular is to provide guidance on the publication of the Monthly Indicator Dashboard. The Circular includes the December 2024 dataset, the link of which is referenced below.

Due to significant Information Technology (IT) challenges over the past few years, the Council for Medical Schemes (CMS) was unable to collect quarterly return data. The annual return submissions had also been significantly delayed. As a result, data could not be published in a timely manner.

To address the medical schemes’ financial data vacuum, the Office of the Registrar has commenced the publication of a Monthly Indicator Dashboard, which is based on the submitted Real Time Monitoring Data.

Any subsequent updates to the data will be communicated via push notifications to stakeholders who have subscribed to CMS publications.

Kindly note that the Monthly Indicator Dashboard is compiled from data that is unaudited and reflects data at an industry level.
