Circular 10 of 2023: CMS Audit Quality Indicators

The Council for Medical Schemes (CMS) would like to inform medical schemes, their audit committees and auditors that the proposed CMS Audit Quality Indicators (AQIs) are published for comment and feedback. The memorandum detailing the proposed AQIs can be found on this link: CMS AQI Memorandum.

The CMS aims to replace its current auditor accreditation and approval processes and systems with one based on the evaluation of the assessments of AQIs by schemes and their audit committees in the selection of their auditors.

Schemes are encouraged to submit comments and feedback to Mr Sameer Rajab via email (s.rajab@medicalschemes.co.za) by Thursday, 23 March 2023.
