We are excited to share the second half of our 2024 Training Calendar, featuring various learning opportunities presented by our leading experts. These sessions are designed to equip healthcare brokers, trustees and medical scheme personnel with the essential knowledge and skills to navigate the dynamic landscape of medical schemes with medical scheme members’ interests at heart.
Induction Broker Training
This programme provides newly appointed brokers with a comprehensive overview of the medical schemes industry, covering regulatory requirements, ethical considerations, and best practices for serving medical scheme members. Participants will gain a solid foundation in key concepts and tools essential for success in their roles.

Trustee Induction Training (All Schemes)
These specially designed sessions will benefit newly appointed Board of Trustee (BoT) members of open medical schemes. The main goal of these sessions is to help BoT members clearly understand their roles and responsibilities under the Medical Schemes Act. The sessions will cover important topics, including compliance, accreditation, and the financial health of medical schemes.

- Accreditation of Brokers and Healthcare Providers
- Overview of Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMBs)
- Complaints and Adjudication Procedures

PMB Training
Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMBs) are crucial to ensuring that all members of medical schemes in South Africa have access to essential healthcare services. This workshop provides a detailed understanding of PMB regulations, compliance requirements, and strategies for managing PMB-related issues effectively.
