Circular 39 of 2022: Annual Statutory Returns development for the 2022 financial year

The Council for Medical Schemes (CMS) has recently completed the analysis of the 2021 Annual Financial Statements and Annual Statutory Returns. The Annual Statutory Return system for 2022 financial year is currently being enhanced.

The Annual Statutory Return is the principal data collection tool that informs the CMS Annual Report. The industry is invited to provide comments on information that is considered relevant for inclusion in future Annual Reports, with cognisance of the fact that it might take several years to collate enough information to conduct a relevant analysis of the data.

The CMS will appreciate suggestions and comments by the industry in respect of additional information or statistics that are considered relevant for future inclusion in the CMS Annual Report.

Suggestions and comments can be submitted to e.figueiredo@medicalschemes.co.za on or before 31 August 2022.
