Circular 34 of 2023: Live Webinar for Healthcare Brokers
The Council for Medical Schemes (CMS) will be hosting a Live Webinar for Accredited Healthcare Brokers. The webinar will take place in CMS’ virtual classroom over two days, followed by a compulsory assessment.
Cost: R400.00 per delegate
Date for Intake 2: 7-8 November 2023 (Virtual classroom)
Summative Assessment: 9 November 2023
Delegates can only claim allocated CPD hours if they have attended the full two days and successfully completed the assessment.
The following topics will be covered:
- Compliance requirements for Financial Service Providers (FSPs) and understanding Board Notice 194
- The FAIS Act and the code of conduct for FSPs
- The Medical Schemes Act and accompanying regulations including recent court rulings and judgements
- Broker accreditation requirement, conduct and ethical behaviour
- Overview of healthcare and PMB Costs
- Low-Cost Benefit Option Project Update
CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD):
Delegates can claim 7.5 CPD hours from the Financial Planning Institute upon successfully completing the programme.
