Circular 18 of 2022: Statement of Cash Flows

The Council for Medical Schemes (CMS) wishes to inform the industry that the implementation of the classification of investment income per Circular 52 of 2021 will be delayed until further stakeholder engagement has been finalised.

Circular 52 of 2021 required medical schemes to, in terms of Section 37(2) of the Medical Schemes Act (131 of 1998), report on investment income received on scheme investments as investing cash flows and not as operating cash flows.
