Trustee Induction Training
The Council for Medical Schemes (CMS) will be hosting a two-day induction webinar for newly appointed members of the Board of Trustees of medical schemes. The workshops will be held on Microsoft Teams from 26-27 November 2020.
The induction sessions are aimed at among others, providing guidance to newly appointed members of the Board of Trustees on the following:
• Introduction to the Medical Schemes Act
• Compliance with the Medical Schemes Act
• COVID 19 as a PMB
• Primary Insurance Products and the Demarcation Products
• Complaints and Adjudication procedures
• Financial soundness of a medical scheme.
