The objective of Trustee Induction by the Council for Medical Schemes (CMS) is to empower newly elected Trustees and Principal Officers with information to enable them carry-out their fiduciary responsibilities in line with the Medical Schemes Act (Act 131 of 1998) & Regulation.

The Council for Medical Schemes (CMS) will host a live, interactive virtual workshop for newly appointed Board of Trustees of Medical Schemes.
- The programme is hosted over 2 half-day sessions.
- Participation is open to all Fund Managers, Principal Officers and Trustees of open and closed Medical Schemes.
- The programme is at no cost.
- The Induction Training for Trustees Programme is a pre-requisite for the Trustee Development Programme in collaboration with GIBS.
