The Council for Medical Schemes is a statutory body established by the Medical Schemes Act (131 of 1998) to provide regulatory supervision of private health financing through medical schemes.

Circular 76 of 2017: Early closure of CMS offices on 15 December 2017
The Council for Medical Schemes (CMS) offices will close at 10:00 on Friday, 15 December 2017. From 18 until 22 December 2017 the office will be operating with skeleton staff.
